If you have been thinking of how to write your ebook, then this is the best idea you could have come up with. Why? People are continuously surfing for information on the Internet. When you write your own ebook, you will be able to provide some of this information.

If you are not a writer, thinking of how to write your ebook may seem to be impossible, isn’t that so? You may not even know where to start. But take heart! It can be done. The project can be accomplished if you do it one step at a time.

The good thing is, you don’t have to be a writer to accomplish this task. Anyone can write an ebook!

Subject

But how do you write your ebook? Before you start, you should know what you are going to write about. You must know what problem your target audience has and what solution you are going to provide.

You may have a lot of subjects to write about. Among these, choose the one that interests you the most.

Do you have some special knowledge in a certain field? Is there anything that you can do in order to help those without that kind of knowledge? Let’s say you have some skill in designing websites. These days, people are very much interested in designing their own websites. Couldn’t this be a better subject for your ebook?

Headline

Indeed, for your ebook to be marketable, you must come up with a good headline. We are living in fast-paced world and people will only take time from their busy schedules to read something new or that which will add value to their lives.

But how do you come up with an attractive headline for your ebook? Check out the following example:

We my have two ebooks on the same subject. But one can be more marketable than the other. Let’s say there are two ebooks which are being sold with the following headlines:“Learn how to design a website very quickly!” and another one with the title “Learn how to design a website in seven days!” Which of these do you think would be a success? Definitely the latter! Why? It’s the way the headline has been phrased.

Audience

There is a countless number of ebooks that have been written on a wide variety of subjects. Each of these ebooks is targeted at different audiences with different backgrounds and reading habits. Choose your target audience and adopt your writing style to accommodate it.

Size of The Ebook

Well, what should be your goal at the end of the day when you write your ebook? Your ebook should not be a long and laborious one, difficult to read like an encyclopedia. The ebook should not be approximately more than 150 pages. Your audience needs useful information which is easier to understand, short and to the point.

Software

When it comes to writing your ebook, choose any writing software, but more especially the user friendly and widely used Microsoft word.

Writing

Your ebook should also have main headings, subtitles, highlights and bullets in the main body. These will help to keep the reader's attention and allow for the smooth flow of how you develop your subject.

Include things like life experiences and stories. Show your readers how others have commented on the same subject. Write short sentences. Write in a way that would appeal to a friend.

Be mindful that reading from the computer screen for along period of time is eye straining. The best is, your writing should be in black. This is good for your eyes. Choose also a widely available font type such as Georgia or verdana. These are good for reading on the screen and will give a professional touch to your ebook.

Proofreading

After you finish writing your ebook, check the spellings. Give it to somebody else to check for any misspellings that you may have missed.

Publishing

After all these stages have been covered, you are now ready to publish your ebook. You can publish your ebook in any of the different ebook formats like the PDF ebook format which can be read on all computers.
