How To Write Words That Sell – Using Attention Grabbers!
That’s what we all want, is that not so? Yes, to write words that sell! Okay, maybe not all of us. But this is more important if you are in business! Perhaps you have just created a new eBook compiler and you want everyone out there to lay their hands on. Or, rather, you have just written a great book that you want everyone to read (there is nothing more saddening to a writer than to know that no one is reading your book!) So, now that you have your product ready for your customer, what do you want from her? Attention So how are you going to get that attention? You know deep down that getting your customer’s attention is the first step to marketing your product. Before you even start thinking of how you are going to persuade (or is it coax?) her to buy your product, you need to… Arouse her attention so that she knows that your product is there at all. So what are you going to do? Ah! Advertising your product on your website! Now is that not a great idea? You could write a persuasive article to convince your customer on how great your product is or you can conjure up a sentence or two that hopefully will have the magical effect and send them reeling with enthusiasm about your product. But wait…it is not that simple. It is a well known fact that most people will log onto a web site and log out without so much as butting an eye at the elaborately written articles or advertisements. Why don’t such copies catch their attention? What is the secret to eye catching advertisements; yes, attention-arousing copies? The secret lies in your choice of words.Using words that sell... I looked up the free eBook
“Make Your Words Sell!”
by Ken Evoy under the heading “Attention grabbers” and discovered that there are a number of words that are bound to get the attention of any web user. Some of the attention grabbers, forming part of the words that sell Ken lists are: You Urgent Free Stunning And a whole lot of others that sure grabbed my attention. Still lurking in skepticism, I decided to put his theories (or are they practicals?) to the test. I typed Mcafee into the Google search engine and looked drearily at the list of websites that appeared. Without even thinking much of it, l clicked on the website that had the promising words: “Free Updates!” However, I eventually discovered that the updates were not so free after all. I had to be a member (which of course means paying a membership fee) to access those “free” updates. My my, I marveled with surprise. So it actually is true. Certain words like “FREE” will certainly grab your attention. It’s been described as one of the most powerful attention grabber there is. Most of us, if not all of us, love free stuff. The whole idea of getting stuff for free is quite enchanting. It worked in my case and sent me clicking away excitedly. So it might as well work in your case and catch your customer’s attention. But really, have a free product that is really genuine. For example, why not put up an evaluation version for that eBook compiler of yours? A trial version or free product is a great way of marketing. In fact it actually builds the confidence of your prospective customer. If your free product is good, how much more so your merchandise? Your customer will have the impression that what she is paying for is really something worth buying. In short, “attention Grabbers” are effective because they have this way of speaking to the customer as if they were written just for her. They enable you to have that one-to-one rapport with her and that is the best way of doing business. Look up some of the words that Ken lists if you don’t believe me. And if you have nothing to give away free of charge, asking questions will definitely grab the attention of the client. All of us respond upon seeing or upon being asked a question, is that not so? If your visitor finds herself thinking of the answer to the question that you have posed, have you not… Grabbed her attention? Here is an example: “Do you want to secure your eBook from unauthorized access?” See? The speaking to the customer thing again! You have got her attention if she has just written an eBook that she would love to release to the global market. She certainly wants to secure it from unauthorized access and distribution. Do you now know how you can get the attention you want? It’s not just a matter of screaming: “Attention Please!” It is about writing
words that sell,
using certain words that speak to your customer; words that seem to beckon to them in a subtle kind of manner. Yes, it is about using “attention grabbers”. This free eBook is exceptional. If you want to know how to write words that sell, download your
